Unable to Access your Pen drive/External Hard disk

Some times while using drives you might have faced this problem. Access is denied. When you connect your drives(Pen drives/External hard disk) to the computer it shows the access is denied and asked for formatting the drive. It flashes a message that shows the access is denied.

“You need to Format the disk in drive before you can use it Do you want to Format it?
                                                                  Format Now                    Canel ”

Only choice left to you is to format the drive. This due to the corruption. But some times a command prompt command will help you to recover your disk. By using the command prompt you can check the disk and removes the bad sectors in disk and correct it

Connect the drive to the computer
Open the command Prompt Window(Star----Run---cmd--OK)
In command prompt window type chkdsk drive name: /r
Example chkdsk F:/r
Press y to continue. At the end you can see what the chkdsk has done !

Now go to computer and open the drive. In most cases you can open you drive.

After doing chkdsk also you cannot access your drive. The only way is to format the drive. But even after formatting also you can recover the data on the hard disk using better recovery soft wares.
One of the free recovery software can be downloaded from piriform Click here to download
