Indian Railway is certainly the 'Lifeline of the Nation' with its commendable performance since the last 150 years. Indian Railways is known to be the largest railway network in Asia and world's largest railway system under a single management. IR employs about 1.6 million people, making itself the second largest commercial or utility employer in the world.

IR boasts of more than 7,500 railway stations in its periphery. It has a fleet of not less than 7800 locomotives, 40,000 coaches & 3,26,000 wagons. 9 pairs of Rajdhani and 13 pairs of Shatabdi Express Trains run on the rail tracks of India. IP CONFIG COMMAND

Ipconfig is a DOS utility that can be used from MS-DOS and a MS-DOS shell to display the network settings currently assigned and given by a network. This command can be utilized to verify a network connection as well as to verify your network settings. The ipconfig.exe command is an external command and is available in Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Most of the Single handed post offices supplied with Honeywell eclipse 5145 PS/2 bar code scanner.But the keyboard supplied with the machine is usb type. Normally the scanner does not work in the current configuration. We can calibrate the scanner very easily by scanning about 4  default bar codes in the correct order.  The bar codes are given below

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT INDIAPOST

Responsibilities of post office other than delivery of letters are:
  • issue and sale of stamps for the postage purposes
  • providing facilities of money orders and postal orders
  • providing banking and insurance facilities
Indian postal service has most widely distributed post office system in the world with total of 155,618 post offices and over 566,000 employees. So, postal network of India is the world’s largest postal network. World’s highest post office is situated in Hikkim whose pin code is 172114. Hikkim is the district of Himachal Pradesh, India.  It is located at height of 15,500 feet.
Some other facts about Indian post offices are:
  • organized postal system in India started in 1837
  • First postal stamp for issued in Karachi in 1852 and first postal department came into existence in 1854.
  • Facility of money order was introduced in 1880.
  • Post office banking service was started in 1882.
  • PIN codes system was introduced in 1972.
  • Speed post service came into existence in 1986. This facility was introduces for the people who want to deliver the mail as quickly as possible. This service delivers mail in a definite time frame with money back guarantee for service defect.
  • World’s first official flight carrying mails took place only in India on February 18, 1911. This journey took 27 minutes and covered 18 kilometres. This journey was made to support the charity named Holy Trinity Church.
So, the Indian postal department is so great but it is now losing its popularity because of use of advanced technologies like internet. To save the future of post offices we should use its services more and more and also tell its benefits to other people also.

RECOVER SHOW DESK TOP ICON

Show Desktop icon in the Quick launch becomes very essential while working on Meghdoot modules. Sometimes, accidentally, this icon may be got deleted. To re-create the Show desktop icon, follow these steps: 


  1. Open notepad .
  2. Copy and paste the following text into the Notepad window:
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
  1. On the File menu, click Save As, and then save the file to your desktop as "Show desktop.scf". The Show desktop icon is created on your desktop.
If in the Folder options,Hide extension for known file types is checked,then this will not work.So first,make it sure that this setting is unchecked.
4.Click and then drag the Show desktop icon to your Quick Launch toolbar.For doing this,first unlock the Taskbar.
5.Alternatively, Type "%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch" in RUN dialog box and press Enter. It'll open Quick Launch folder. Paste the SCF file in this folder.
That's all.Your Show Desktop icon is restored.
Hint:
  Windows icon key + D will show you Desktop
